Where do I start?

Once you complete your order with a consultant, the shipping of your vehicle will be scheduled according to the first date you are available to ship your vehicle. Once our relocation consultant has put you on the board, you will have one to five days to have your vehicle picked up, sometimes even on the same day. We automatically email the customer when it gets assigned and then our driver will contact you .
When the driver picks up your vehicle, he will provide a detailed inspection of your vehicle on what is called, the Bill of Lading. You will both sign this form and you will retain a copy. From this point, the driver should call you again, prior to arriving to your destination. The same Bill of Lading will be present on delivery so you can both re-inspect the car. The transporter will take every precaution to deliver you vehicle without incident; however, if damage should occur, you must report this damage upon delivery on the Bill of Lading and never-the-less pay the carrier the balance owed. It is important that you and the transport driver sign this document. Claims cannot be processed by our insurance company if damage is not noted at time of delivery. We also recommend digital photos of before and after. Damages are rare events and normally your vehicle arrives in the same condition it left in.

Are there any preparations necessary prior to pick-up?

Not really, the only thing you need to do is empty your car from personal items, and secure any loose items as The Department of Transportation "D.O.T" does not allow us to ship cars packed with personal items for safety reasons. In addition, personal items in the vehicle will not be insured.

Is the value of my car insured?

By Law and DOT regulations, all car carriers must carry two forms of insurance.

1. Liability Insurance - This type of policy will cover any damages due to driver error. All our drivers have $1,000,000 worth of liability insurance.

2. Cargo Insurance - This type of policy covers scratches and dents in the car moving process. All our auto shipping drivers have a minimum of $50,000 coverage per car in cargo insurance as required by the "D.O.T." depending on what is being shipped on our trucks, many of our carriers have higher coverage amounts.

How will the car be delivered?

The vehicle will be picked up/delivered as close to your home as possible. Occasionally, the maneuverability of these large transport carriers or local government regulations will not allow the transporter truck to come directly to your home. In these cases, an alternate site will be selected that contains a large parking lot, such as a shopping mall. Your may want to consider what is referred to as "terminal shipping." Terminal Shipping is a cost saving option when compared to door to door delivery. Every terminal we work with is fully licensed and insured. Speak to your consultant for further information.

What if the car is not in running condition?

The vehicle to be transported does not have to be in running condition. All the car has to be able to do is roll, break and steer. Additional fees will apply if your car cannot do one of the three.

How much in advance should I book the car shipping services?

It is important to try to allow at least one week for your car to be shipped. You will generally get a better rate if you schedule your car shipping in advance so that our car carriers are able to arrange for pick up and delivery. For additional fees, special shipping and pickup dates can be arranged.

How much does auto transport cost?

There lots of factors that impact the cost such as if the vehicle is in running condition or if you live somewhere far of a major city/drop-off location. Drivers tend to run through major highways and interstate roads. For more information, call and speak to one of our consultants.
